Vital Champions League
A number of youngsters have re-signed including Scottish Cup winners Paul Dummett and Conor Newton.

Now all we need is a coach who can get the best out of them.

and a manager who can get the best out of the coach, and a dof to get the best out the manager, and an owner to get the best out the dof

There was a piece in the Journal this morning with Guttierez talking about the youngsters breaking through next season. They must have become more vital to Pardew's plans next year now, given we seem to be doing bugger all in the transfer market. Let's make a wish eh?

Brill' they will be just like new signings.
That's the first two over the line.
All you miserable barstools must be munching on your words now.
All it needed was a little time and faith.

Just going back to your point, Taff, there was a thread in January that highlighted the youngsters situation:

A number of them turn into grown up footballers this summer as can be seen at the bottom of the first post.

Maybe this explains why 3 English (home grown) players have been allowed to leave before replacements have been found.

It will be interesting to see how many of them make the squad of 25 and how many go on loan.
