At the moment, I feel our only route back into the title race is if Van Persie picks up a knock.

Doesn't sound like this one is serious though:

Robin Van Persie suffers bizarre hip injury against QPR

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson hopes that Robin van Persie will be fit to face Real Madrid after the striker suffered a bizarre hip injury in the 2-0 victory over QPR.

Van Persie fell down a camera bunker as he helped set up Rafael's opener, before being replaced after 40 minutes.

"We will assess him tomorrow. Hopefully he will be alright for the Real Madrid game [on 5 March]," said Ferguson.

"He tried to play on but it was obvious he wasn't going to make it."

United are now 15 points clear of second-placed Manchester City, with Roberto Mancini's side hosting Chelsea on Sunday.

Before facing Real Madrid in the Champions League last-16 second leg, Ferguson's team will welcome Norwich to Old Trafford next Saturday.

Well, he'll probably get some "miracle" injection and be fine. That would explain Ryan "Evergreen" Giggs being able to play this well as a midfielder as he nears 40.
