I end up watching quite a bit of Portugal being married to a Portuguese.
They are actually very average with Ronaldo and slightly better without him. Should be the other way around but he is not a team player and that does not help when the rest of the squad isn't anywhere near as good as recent years.
They are similar to Wales with an average team with one superstar but the 2 superstars are very very different. Ronaldo works for Ronaldo whereas Bale works for the team.
England should beat the handsomely but as I would rate Portugal at a similar level as Turkey who we just played then 2-1 sounds about right although we "should" have a better first 11 than against Turkey with Rooney behind Vardy and Kane.
If Hodgson persists with 4-3-3 then it is pointless playing Vardy out wide.
