Interesting comment about De Gaulle. He always hated us for saving them IMO.
And I must admit I wanted a new bank hol in October to help us remember
Trafalgar but unlikely now..

The Socialists did in the form of the resistance !! Whereas the Vichy and the Milice capitulated and there was 30,000 of them executed after the war.

But it's worse than that, if the French had of honoured the 1921 Franco-Polish Alliance by mobilising in 1939 to defend Poland's western border Hitler's army would have likely been humiliatingly defeated in less than a month. De Gaulle went on to spend most of the war hiding under Churchill's desk. Resurfacing after the blood of British Commonwealth and American soldiers had taken Paris. De Gaulle lavishly celebrated as if the victory was his, the ultimate act of stolen valour.

The French are awful allies, as recently as the Falklands conflict they were selling arms to the Argentine junta. Now they're trying to use the EU to attack us at every turn.

While the courts in session what about the likes of Johnson and Hancock. One for fornication and lying the other for breaking the Law regards PPl contracts amongst other things. . O’ silly me! Hancock has already been found guilty🤭
 
Edinburgh is a fantastic city and I hope they don ‘t leave , but I wouldn ‘t be too surprised if they do and would put a “ wee “ bet on it , ha ! If they ( the Scottish Nationalist Party ) can ride this out and still increase their seats in Holyrood then I think the die is cast .
 
Support has been drifting from the SNP in recent weeks due to Nippys antics, the various sex scandals, and the hate crime bill. Current predictions are she and the Greens will lose just enough seats to go into no overall control. This is perfect for Nippy. The support for independence has also been softening, and what she absolutely cant be trapped into is a situation where they force a referendum on independence and lose it, again.

As for the charges of misleading, that will go back to the Assembly, where her own party and the crooked Greens will give her a slap on the wrist and carry on as if nothing has happened. Scotland will continue to slide into being a third world country. The banana republic with no bananas.
