Yes, he was a skillful player and if my memory is correct didn't we buy him from Hibs!?

EDIT: I've just checked and we actually bought Alex from Arsenal who originally bought him from Hibernian.

If we do buy John McGinn from Hibs and he is only half as good as Alex Cropley was then we still will be getting a good player.

In 1969 he became Aston Villa's youngest ever player to play in a first-team game aged 15 years 349 days and I think that record still stands?

Great things were expected from Jimmy but it never fully worked out and he moved on. Jimmy eventually ended his professional career with? ........Hibernian!
