Think it'll need more this season, I reckon nearer 55 points. Too many teams keep putting runs together.
 
The week has started well - safety looks more likely at this rate. I'm sure that 50 will be OK especially as our goal difference is worth another point. Too early to talk of nicking a play off place but you have to aim high all the same.
 
Of the teams in the relegation zone, only AFC Wimbledon are averaging more than a point a game, and even then only just (34pts from 32 games). I'd say 3 more wins to give us 53pts and we'll be safe, but I won't be at all surprised if 50pts is enough.
 
In the last 10 seasons, teams have been relegated with 50 points, but no more than that.

So 52 should see us safe, but 53 to 55 would be better if we want to avoid the big scrap on the final day.
