My MotM can only be Porro, who was fantastic throughout. Ratings were far better in the first half but some players really let themselves down in that second half.

Ange now needs to ask himself why all the players in the channels are so ineffective. It is down to the manager's stupid obsession with possession. We must have turned down 50 opportunities to cross that ball tonight. That is on top of a poor selection of Hojbjerg in centre mid. On top of that, Ange's subs were poor. He didn't change the game at all with any tactical changes, and isn't operating a meritocracy when Sonny can play that bad and stay on for so long.
I hope he learns some tough lessons in this phase of games.

Vicario - 6.5. Less assured than lately. Should probably have gathered the ball for their second goal.
Pedro Porro - 8. Best defender on the night and best creator of chances. Some very good crosses.
Romero - 7. A welcome return. Looked assured defensively and only blemish was losing that tussle with Bowen for the first goal. Great header for the goal and started a lot of our attacks from deep.
Davies - 4.5. Only purpose is to demonstrate how much we miss VdV.
Udogie - 6. Excellent first half defensively and in attack. Seemed to lose concentration in the second half.
Hojbjerg - 5. Shows again why he shouldn't be a starter in this team.
Bissouma - 7. More like the Biss from earlier in the season. Carried the ball and passed much better.
Lo Celso - 7. He looked the most likely of our attacking midfielders/forwards to create or score. Disappointed to see him substituted.
Kulusevski - 5. Played as though he was still celebrating his goal at City. Too often he killed the momentum by not passing quick enough.
Son - 4.5. Yet again pretty anonymous against a team sitting deep. Time for Ange to have a re-think on this one.
Johnson - 5.5. Very bright first half. Lot's of good runs and positions taken up but was let down by his final ball and finishing. Faded badly in the second half.
