Can someone please explain why there are loads of players doing these 'Mannequin Challenges'? Is it for charity, what have I missed?

It is purposeless. Unlike the Ice bucket challenge where the idea was at least related to raising money for charity, this is simply.........pointless and just another way of getting people to fill up their Twitter and social media sites with this .....stuff. I could have posted some links but couldn't be arsed. Once o found out it was such a meaningless exercise in nothingness I gave up. :012:
