...no not Antonio, but Dennis Kutrieb.

At Steve Lovell`s Ebbsfleet, German Dennis Kutrieb has been announced as the club`s new manager. Apparently an up and coming talented guy, Kutrieb is likely to have quite a job on his hands, whenever the National League starts up again. Does this choice of manager mean that the Fleet will be transformed into a tactically more advanced outfit ? If successful, it`s only a short journey down the A2 should big Steve move on.....

I think ive missed something. Is Steve lovell at ebbsfleet? Whats he doing there?

This guy has won the fourth division of the local Berlin league and was second in the German fifth division when football was stopped! Major step down going to Gravesend and Northfleet!

It could be that Ebbsfleet are better placed than a lot of teams in the national league having already had massive cuts .The owner appears to have finances so it could be a good stepping stone for this German manager if he has his eye on managers jobs at top teams in the English game .There is little doubt that the events of the last few months could turn leagues below the premier league on their heads. In theory the teams at the top should be there again. But given all the financial problems the tables when football returns could look very different indeed .A team like Ebbsfleet with good financial backing would now have a far better chance to get into the top few teams in the national league.

I think you will find Ebbsfleet have struggled to pay player wages on several occasions in the last season or two.

Agreed but the guy at the top is not short of funds. He simply stopped spending. But clubs with funds made available now could make more progress in the next few years.I would have thought that Lovell would have had no chance to get a very average German manager let alone one with a bit of pedigree with no budget.
