After our 8-0 demolition of Leicester kids, I got a bit irrationally excited and thought I'd check out the latest L1 odds for us. Here is a selection from Oddschecker:
To win promotion 6/1 (this is actually shorter odds than we had on us to win the league last season at about this time)
To finish top six , only 5/2.
To finish top half 8/13.
A fanciful dreamland one - dual forecast Sunderland /Lincoln top two 33/1.

Must be the highest we have been regarded by the bookies since maybe 1982/83? If they even had these type of bets back then, I'm not sure. You know, back when you opened the door to the betting shop and there was so much fag smoke it was like peering through a Victorian London peasouper

i think it's the Leicester effect, realistically our odds should be bigger, but the bookies have learned a lesson. Bury are broke, might go out of business, have lost the manager and 5 or 6 of their best players and are only 200-1 to win a league they might not be in. Leicester were 5000-1
