Horrible day - letting slip a 2 goal lead and there was some unfinished business from the league game the previous week as far as the Preston 'hard men' were concerned in those unsegregated days.
Only time me (and fellow Imps in the stand) 'cheered' an opposing winning goal, the lad next to me didn't and got jumped on by several Preston thugs who'd slipped in from their end once the exit gates were opened.
