I really liked Jason Brown. A good keeper and thoroughly likeable chap. Very humble and down to earth, probably because he thought we were his last chance at becoming a pro. Wasn’t he cleaning bus shelters or something when we offered him a deal?

Yeah, he went to the local school (Bacon's College)and was reputed to be cleaning bus shelters before joining us. Spoke to him once in the local Curry House a couple of days before a match. Seemed a really nice bloke.

Made a blunder treading on the ball in his first home game for us. Crowd got behind him immediately and Jason went on to become another keeping legend (knees up Jason Brown!)
