The 2021/22 European club competitions have featured the ex-Millers players Towell, Newell, Allan, Vuckic, Wiseman and Tavernier. Just Tavernier remaining after tonight.

Rangers have been drawn against Sporting Braga in the Europa League QF. Commentators on Talksport Radio have just been discussing the possibility of Tavernier being called up for England.

Rangers squandered a lot of chances, then let Braga score against the run of play.

Not a bad result for Rangers, although they will be disappointed by conceding the late goal. Sounded like Tavernier played quite well.

Rangers won 3-1 (3-2 on aggregate) and go through to the final, which is scheduled for 18th May.

Penalty shoot-out :Tavernier scored with the first shoot-out penalty, but Eintrachct Frankfurt won 5-4 in the end.
Quite a decent and even final, and Rangers could have won it in extra time. Good performance by Tavernier. It was a chance for an ex-Millers player to lift a European trophy for the first time, but it was not to be.

Didn't think that this thread would still be running in mid-May when I started it in July!

The six players who featured in 2021/22 - Wiseman, Towell, Vuckic, Newell, S.Allen, Tavernier. (Doesn't look like Newell and S. Allan will be playing in any European competition next season)
