The Imps skipper has been a regular at the club's Performance Centre over the last month, working with the sports science team as he looks to overcome the groin problem which restricted his appearances over the final three months of last season.
But, crucially, he has been in good company, with fellow midfielder Michael O'Connor, who had a minor knee operation at the end of the season, long-term absentee Sam Habergham and goalkeeper Grant Smith, all working on their own fitness programmes."
