It was a reckless dash out by the keeper but Kane definitely dangled his leg invitingly into his path - the shot from behind the goal clearly shows the ball going one way and Kane's left leg going the other.

VAR is just pointless.

Referee got both the Kane dive and the Rice goal correct without VAR

VAR got the Rice one wrong and if the ref had made a mistake by awarding a penalty VAR would have agreed with the wrong decision standing

Just my opinion ... just like VAR is just someone's opinion

...we used to have a ref deciding on his opinion

...and we knew if it was a goal because the ball was in the net
