What I've noticed since late last season is how Cooper is stumbling on mainly tactical changes by being forced into them, usually by injuries.
The back 3 is the main one. So many defensive injuries so he covers that weakness by switching to a back 3. Guehi is superb and now we realise how good he actually is.
Same at Norwich, an injury forces him to switch to a 4-3-3, we looked great in it and it baffles me why we don't use it more in games - switching to it in the final 15-25 mins.
He drops Grimes. Then discovers that Roberts can deliver a great set-piece. So long overdue.
Cooper is doing a great job but it would be great sometimes if he could spot more of these tactical changes himself rather than them being forced on him by injuries.
