1. Re. the absence of Waterfall: move Bostwick back to partner Wharton and slot Whitehouse into midfield. Eardley should remain at full back because Long was so out of touch and lacking match fitness against Crewe that he should not be used again unless absolutely unavoidable. Against a side fighting for survival, Long could easily be overwhelmed again.

2. Chesterfield fans admit they have a poor squad of players. Therefore they can only really win games through energy and fight - we have to match that, which is not a problem usually. Putting the industrious Whitehouse into midfield will help that.

3. If Danny is considering playing 4-3-3 again, why not start Palmer up front? Palmer's energy could prove a vital link between Rhead and Green, and close the chasm that frequently opens up between them.

Incidentally, Chesterfield have the worst disciplinary record in League Two; only Preston, Leeds and MK Dons have a worse record in the EFL.

This will be a scrap in a number if ways. Expect a very physical match...

Rheady put in 90 minutes on Tuesday probably for the 1st time this season, wouldn't be surprised to see him start on the bench
