BST Update Regarding Brackley Game

Vital Youth Team
Having spoken again today with the chairman of Brackley Town, Blackpool Supporters’ Trust will not be asking its members to donate to Brackley in compensation for the ethical boycott of Saturday’s FA Cup game. BST and Brackley are in accord on this issue and the reasons are two-fold:

Firstly, the manner of Blackpool FC’s intervention has been an embarrassment to Brackley Town.

Secondly, the Northamptonshire club has already done extremely well out of its cup run to date, including its televised first round game. The extra income generated so far will boost it for another season or so.

It has to be understood that this is the biggest game in Brackley Town’s history and their fans will want to enjoy a week-end excursion to Blackpool to support their team.

The Trust is not planning a protest on match day but will be holding a bucket-collection in aid of Justice4Fans outside Bloomfield Road and hoping that all supporters who disapprove of Blackpool’s owners suing fans will contribute generously. Donations to J4F may also be made online on BST’s website: http://www.blackpoolsupporterstrust.com/Site/Donate.aspx
