And there you have it. You take pace out of the team and what have you got? Not a great deal. Fer was missing as well. No options at all. Montero going isn't great either especially if you watch what he did on Tuesday night.

There is no doubt that all the turmoil at the club this week affected the the players and the result of this game.

Our captain Fer injured, Routledge injured, Olsson injured, James out traumatised, Bony gone, Montero gone, Carroll gone. Total 7 players missing.
You only had to look at the bench to see how weak the team was.

Team: Mulder, Roberts (McKay 75’), VdH, C-Vickers, John, Fulton, Grimes, Dyer (Asoro 62’), Byers (B-Richardson 77’), Celina, McBurnie.
Subs: Naughton, Asoro, McKay, B-Richardson, Narsingh, Bender, Harries

With three games in a week and the opposition having eight days rest it was inevitable we would tire second half.
It was a pretty even first half but we were caught napping within seconds of the game restarting.
Chasing the game game we left ourseves vunerable, conceded the second goal and it was game over.
The introduction of the subs actually weakened the team as Potter tried to turn things around.
Whoever brought McKay to the club needs shooting, a more inept player I haven’t seen for a long time. He just strolled around and wouldn’t get involved and needs a rocket up his backside, how he is picked every week is a mystery.
Asoro can’t even hack it in the U23’s, same Narsingh who was subbed last game for not trying.

It's worrying, watch this game and this what we can get used to next season. We were missing pace and overall quality in the final third , a poor showing.

Fer, Routledge, Dyer, Van Der Hoorn, Olsson you would expect to leave bare minimum. And considering our owners and last summer's poor window, can we expect them to be replaced with actual quality?
