BK says DW is going nowhere and from day one he has been taken aback by how close the players and coaching staff are.

Says that DW is so hard working and has always been open and honest.

He said it is not his job to jump to a decision because fans want it - it is to stay calm, think logically and take time. And you can see now it was the right decision to keep him in post.

Quick learnings:

Feels like a lot longer than 2 months in the job.

Been very challenging times from the moment he came in - fans unhappy with management, results not great and SW leaving early.

Lots of hard work with training and players.

Agreed that there was negativity within the club and that came from poor performances and results, but he knew the quality in the squad and management.

Focus until the end of the season is to just keep trying to win games.

Fans wanted DW out, but he never thought about it. Didn't get influenced by the fans and the noises they were making.

DW needed more time because he had lost Barnes, Hanley and Sargent and then Gunn too. He knew that we would be so much better once they came back. That is evident now and our form.

Speaks every day to DW and from day 1 it struck him how positive it all was with dw and his coaching staff. Says that dw always knew where they were struggling but working so hard to sort them.

On the window:

He input was to shape the club in the medium to long term and not short term. Believes that has been achieved we all the work they did in January.

Says that fans need to stick with us as it will take multiple windows to get this squad to where it needs to be.

The plan was always to get Idah out on loan as he wanted to move to play football. It is a win win situation.

SvH Was on the club has been following for a long time and he is very pleased that we were able to get him in. He fits the club profile (young and hungry) - BK then says that SvH is a player who will suit this league and we feel will help us now and beyond - so if we go up will we buy him??

Says that summer window is naturally busier as the market is easy to navigate and value on players lower plus contracts are up too.

Says that there will be a turn over of players this summer and you can see this as lots of players are out of contract too. He wants to take the group in a certain direction and has a plan for the players to leave/come in.

Asked if the South American market will be used again - Absolutely - always scouting the area.

Placheta and foresaw went and no new contracts have been offered to the players out of contract - nothing planned and this will only happen when we have clarity on where the club is at (up or staying I am guessing).

A bit of a worry when BK says the squad was way too heavy because there were 3 players always out of the match day squad and he didn't want that ------ but if you only want a squad of say 20 then you will get caught out when the inevitable happens and we get injuries. Says he needed to move players on because of resource, but also has opened up the pathway for our younger players to make the step up. Over last week more U21 players have trained with first team and we will see next summer more of our younger players be involved (anyone bet that that won't happen - more like one player). Says as a club under him he wants the youngster to start for the first team.

Got a couple of u18 players signed up to deals and this is the first step. The youth system will be back in force under him as Director of football - he wants to see them come through. says Rowe is a great example but we have some key youngsters out on loan who are doing so well and they will come back here stronger.

Asked about Aboh - he said the club wants him to stay and there is dialogue between the player and cub. Aboh is taking time to think about his situation.

On the premiership:

Asked are the club ready if we went up and if not could you make them ready?:

The club is a premiership club (facilities, staff, experts at the club, set up). The squad is a premiership quality squad ----- Hmmmmm.

Says that we will be ready if we go up 100%

On the AGM:

Spoke with Mark A, Delia and Michael about his plan and how to execute this - Key in his proposal were - Getting the academy pathways reopened, playing youth players, lowering the age of the squad, getting back to a club who is seen as one who produces their own.

Says he spoke with Mark and Delia and laid out his transfer plans which will now be focused on younger players and not so much the older demographic. Fans will see younger players coming in and youngsters from the academy promoted.

Says that the coventry game was one of his best moments as it felt that the crowd were really happy and completely behind the side - even when they scored the fans were still there willing us on. First game that he really thought we can go further.

Final message:

I want to thank the fans - they have had a lot to go through and please stay with us. We are within touching distance of the playoffs and we want it.

A Premiership squad already ? REALLY ?
Gibson , McCrap , Sargent and Hanley have proved by our utter humiliating relegation that they are utter crap in the PL . As soon as Burnley went up they got rid of Barnes as they knew he would be crap in the PL . The lIkes of Nunez, Gianallous , Sorrenson and Sara are too lightweight and would get ripped to bits in the PL

Get real BK …. Don’t bullshit us . Tell us the truth that we need massive investment if we go up

Agreed - a lot of these players were there in premiership relegation and were poor since then they have got older. We also have cast offs like Stacey and Barnes that were good enough - I would say I think Sargent has improve greatly and would probably be okay in the league now, but look at our squad it isn't premiership quality.

For me - Long, Hanley, Gibson (prob go), Duffy, Batth, Giannoulis, Fisher, McCallum, McLean, Sorensen, Gibbs, Fassnacht, Onel, Idah aren't good enough.

We would need a whole new team in the PL if we're to even get close to avoiding the sickening embarrassments we suffered on the last two forays with the exception of Gunn and Rowe - we dont know about big donk yet so hes exempt for now. Feels very scary still. We might well have the infrastructure in place but thats useless if we have a crap team. A lot of washy infills in that BK sprout and weve heard it all before so thats not new. He needs to talk crux only, the real stuff that matters.

Far too early re Fisher and Gibbs

IF we got promoted its another opportunity to collect the surplus of £30m in the Prem and £15m first season down in the Championship.
However the Americans may have another go at turbo charging the club to see if we could get a foothold in the Prem., IF we go up.

The big question is, can Luton stay up in the Prem on nowt?

A big chance to move forward but Crapper waits for ages and after window shuts and then comes out with utter garbage.
I just hope he does not belief in the crap he is coming out with.

I am fully behind BK in terms of getting the youngsters involved, but I just can't see it happening.

So we've had 6 years of Webber whilst he "rebuilt" City and its training facilities and academy and DW who asked for older more experienced players - now we have BK who comes in and first off changes the points and shifts us onto another track heading in another direction that will take "several transfer periods" to get us to where he wants to go, being several changes cum-sar departures this summer and reducing the averge age of our squad - presumably this means less experienced players. I guess we cant expect high transfer prices for our older generation if they arent out of contract or they disappear on a free or just leave expended. That means we need transfer money which apparently we dont have much of becuase we are self sufficient. Lowering the age could be interpreted as not having to spend much money on transfers for lesser talent as we dont seem to want to encourage our academy talented players to be blooded early. So we are now in a new era people, of positive BK hopeful direction, rebuilding, refining, growing. Hell we have a South American department very well activated. What more can we ask for, as we salad dwell in the Champ and be scared crapless if we get into the PL with a non-co-ordinated new younger squad after 2 transfer periods. This sounds like the 2024 version of the 7 year plan but taken in 6 monthly bites. Ohhh - where are we heading?.

BTW. they applied for planning permission for a Recovery wing (built) and another block. Has the second block been built? If not how can anyone claim that Colney is completed?
