Big Week Ahead

We’ve done it before, on the striker front, Barker, Watson even Bennett.

The question is, even at this early stage, does Raj trust Hartley with the purse strings?

Looking back, it’s easy with hindsight, did we try hard enough to keep Molyneux, Odusina even Bogle?

Then tweak here and there to support these players but go all out for Kane Hemmings or Dom Telford.
Yes the latter is currently sidelined but, after a brilliant season on a personal, level wanted a move. We should know we’re not going to get a recognised goal scorer without investing heavily financially or unearthing a gem, speculate to accumulate sort of thing.

All pie in the sky but you’re not wrong on the U23 type player, it’s not what we need, Burey type of player yes. Why was he not chased back up once fit?
Possibly because “football is an easy game, complicated by those who should know better”

Players squabbling with each other openly on the pitch is only the start, what’s the dressing room like? It looks bad but is it irretrievable?

We fair badly against fellow strugglers next week and cracks will start to appear in the eggshells upon which we’re walking, especially with Donny and Crewe coming up, both in the top 7 with one loss between them in the 12 they’ve played.

The other a striker with proven goalscoring credentials in EFL2.

Once again there is no prospect of Pools signing a proven EFL goalscorer.

We've been through this innumerable times before. So called proven EFL2 goalscorers do not move to EFL2 clubs, Pools or elsewhere. They move to EFL1 or Championship clubs for a lot of money.

Telford got 26 in all comps last season for Newport then moved sideways to Crawley, it does happen maybe not often but it is possible

Think he started the first two league games picked up a knock and was sidelined for the next two before appearing for a total of twenty minutes as a sub in the last two, eased in to aid recovery
