Caz, I thought at first you were referring to Richard III who was Duke of Gloucester before succeeding to the throne.

T THATCHED House Lodge - was the home of Robert Walpole but since the early sixties has been a Royal residence. Princess Alexandra lives there now.

U - Unicorn. The unicorn of Scotland stands on the right of the shield in the Royal Coat of Arms, the lion of England on the left. The version used by the monarch in Scotland reverses the positions of the lion and unicorn.

V (Queen) VICTORIA - reigned from 1837 to 1901. Became heir to the throne when first Prince Frederick died in 1827 then George IV three years later seeing William IV take the throne (although he didn't really want her as his heir).

W - Windsor. The House of Windsor came into being in 1917 when the name was adopted as the British Royal Family's official name by a proclamation of King George V replacing the historic name of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. It remains the family name of the current Royal Family.

Z ZARA - Princess Anne's daughter - Zara Anne Elizabeth Tindall MBE OLY (nee Phillips)

I'm not sure what OLY stands for - maybe Order of the something?
