Bairstow and Root are the only Yorkshire players starting in the England v New Zealand Test Match today. Not sure what that means about the availabity of the other Yorkshire players in the England squad.

Update - Brook on as sub fielder for England now , because Leach has gone off injured.

Mike, that England batting performance was an absolute shocker. At first glance it looks like both sides had similar problems but that's not really the case. NZ were 12-4 in no time. By contrast England's openers had seen off the new ball and reached 59 without loss. There is something seriously wrong with our technique and approach to batting.

Poor performance from the England middle-order ... should have put Harry Brook in! This England batting line-up has a "long tail" anyway, which didn't help either.

Team news... Allen and Drakes make their Yorkshire debuts. Willey, Rashid and Brook are available to play. Malan has been rested due to a slight injury. Tattersall will keep wicket.

Durham won the toss and decided to bat first.

Durham 207-8 (20 overs, innings closed). Clark 65, Robinson 56. Best Yorkshire bowler was Thompson with 4-32. Drakes looked lively , if a bit raw.

Yorkshire 210-4 (17.4 overs) Lyth 77, Willey 75. Best Durham bowler was Raine with 2-17.

Yorks won by 6 wickets. (y)
