New Manager (Rumours and Suggestions)

An honest, clear & articulate update from Mr Galinson. Wholeheartedly agree with his decision & reasons given for it.

Interesting that no mention was made of Mr Scally when he referred to those involved with the job interview process. Perhaps giving some credence to rumours of a fall out.

Looks like lessons have been absorbed & learned from the Harris sacking in that a swift appointment will be made this time. Expect an announcement middle to end of next week.

Sensible that the publication of the retained list is being deferred until it is signed off by the new manager.

I would not expect PS not to be involved as he will eventually step back to enjoy his retirement, and one of Paul's strengths is contract negotiations.

Don't see why this means a fall-out, Brad would have the power to get rid of PS if he wanted to.

Confirmed my thoughts that we have approached candidates rather than inviting applications.
Good stuff 👍
Should announce next week.
They will make offer to prime candidate and if declined, move quickly to the next.

Although BG has had to answer questions about our bete noire, I can't recall him ever including the name in a mission statement.

Interesting that 3 were lined up to be interviewed as soon as the day after Clemence was sacked. Suggests the sacking was planned a bit in advance at least in order to arrange those interviews so quickly.
Also you have to think about the human side of dismissing clemence. Brad refers to it as being a horrible horrible day.
From Clemence’s post Doncaster interview, he didn’t see it coming. Went into some detail about his plans for the summer, a short holiday with a window each day to try and sign or negotiate with players. He said he’d be in the office Monday (the day he was sacked), as he had work to do.
Also he now lives in Gillingham have moved there in the past couple of months (with family home in Cheshire), so this news will have turned his life upside down.
