Good Morning Thread

Jeez! there is some strong reading on ere today!

Closer to home we should be really watching this countries march into dictatorship or even being ruled by Islam or rather their spokepeople called the Labour Party.

Kier Starmer, a true numpty, said yesterday that him n his Party are the true Patriots, is this a new comedy show? lol!
Red is their colour = Communism/dictatorship
Socialist = Communism/dictatorship
Simple really.

The list for him n his Party being Non-Patriot goes on and on.

We are fcuking doomed! doomed! I tell ya!

As bad as this government is Pompey, I firmly believe things will be worse under the woke, weak and duplicitous Starmer.
I am thankful that I don’t live in London anymore with the evil Sadiq Khan running the show.

Russia is now running a war-time economy; it's going to have a short term impact, but this extra production is draiing at an alarming rate the state coffers, hence why the Ruble is in the tank and getting weaker.

Eventually, despite the war foooting growth, when the state is forced to cut off the never ending stream of cash, the economy is going to crash and crash badly;

Watch this, Joe covers Russia regularly and he's been largely spot on:

Russia is f**ked for decades to come.

And why the Russian army / Military is utterly fcuked up and will all end badly.....:

They have lost every single person they had in the army as the invasion force, it only gets worse.

You need to balance the input with how the political south sees things.

Despots do not give a flying about their people, other people, the planet, net zero etc. All they care about is absolute power and typically beings who exercise it in a cruel or oppressive way....... so we are all doomed!

Despots have nothing to do with it. Poor countries want what we have and what right do we have to tell them how to live.

Global warming will happen. It's time to adapt to that reality instead of fighting something that will happen anyway and would happen anyway without human inputs.

NATO and the EU's expansionist ideals have pushed Putin to this. Whether you like it or not he has been warning about the West's co-opting of the buffer states around Russia since the late 90's.

It's naive to think he started this on a whim.

Russia will come out of this stronger. If it ends, they will rebuild their military and start selling natural gas to Europe again once the pipelines are repaired.....and then there is the one being built to China.

Putin's an egomaniac. He doesn't give two shits about anything other than holding power by Any Means Possible. Hence the inherent danger of his opponents falling out of windows & a war all of his own making.

This is a flippant remark. His foreign policy papers are well-read globally and his ability to hold onto power is unmatched by anyone except Xi.

China cannot afford to lose face with bank failures. To their way of thinking, that would set them back decades in their move toward world economic dominance. They are learning lessons as they go. The state will restructure everything.
I hope you're right but they're still flexing their muscle. I don't think they,'d dare either but one tiny slip & ...

Because of unrealistic expectations on his part. A puppet government indeed.

Really? He stood to gain more from a peaceful resolution at that point than he does now. And he knew it at the time.

Ask yourself who has benefitted from this war. And I suggest you start with LNG export numbers of various nations.

There are plenty of articles discussing this with facts that underpin their points.

For the record, I in no way condone Putin's actions on any front. But this was very predictable given that he warned repeatedly he would be forced to act if NATO or the EU continued their activities and expansion.

The sooner we realize and accept that the world is regionalizing after deglobalizing and shore up supply chains within those regions the better. There will be fewer points of contention and a more peaceful approach to conflict resolution.

Energy is at the heart of all of this. We need regionalized hydrogen, wind, solar and nuclear production to be rolled out. If we can do this without major conflict over the next 20-30 years we have a bright future ahead. But oil and gas and LNG are not going away.

We also need to get over the fear of climate change, it was happening anyway, humans have just accelerated it. We must embrace it and turn it to our advantage while reducing pollution in all aspects of our existence.

They won't be selling SFA in Western Europe, that's a piece of fantasy - reselling to the west will be at least a decade away, if ever.

Nato didn't expand, it never recruits, it got larger because the countries closer to Russia saw the writing on the way and asked to join, it is their only hope to stop Russia from doing what it's been boasting it would do since 2012. Putin has been alarming every country since 2004 about building a new Russian Empire - he is an aspiring, nasty Imperalist and doesn't care what it costs, it is his attempt to go down in history as the rebuilder of an Imperial legacy, that none can escape.

These 'warnings' were in response to countries desperately not being forced into a Russian sphere of influence - that's a hugely important distinction. they wanted freedom of action, freedom to be democratic than subservience to Russian diktats.

All of these was caused by Russia's behaviour, not the EU's nor NATO's.

Don't get sucked into the Russian's lying cheating narrative they promote to be used by 'useful idiots' here in Europe.
