If Ashley still owned us then the mere mention of a thread containing the name of Kinnear would have us all fearing the worst. Jokes aside, it's just been announced that he died today, not in any way consigned to any decent part of NUFC history but condolences anyway to his family.

He felt unwell before the WBA game at the Hawthorns and it turned out to be a heart attack. I don't think he managed another game at Newcastle but we were already in free fall and went down that season.
