Terrific performance. Fulham had more of the game 2nd half, and our defending from corners was terrifying, but we really should have scored 6 tonight with the chances we had. Yates and Danilo just worked in a way that other partnerships haven’t worked. Danilo is just a natural footballer who can play at the pace of the Premier League, which is the opposite of everything that Sangare is at present. Yates complimented him by just doing what he does, competing for everything and making it hard for the opposition to play.

Obviously, MGW was man of the match because he was world-class tonight. He should have had 3 assists inside the first half an hour, God knows how many he’d have overall this season if Elanga’s finishing wasn’t dreadful. Elanga made the recent criticism of Origi look harsh tonight because his was the only real negative performance.

That was much more tense than it might have been, but having said that there was a time when we would have crumbled after conceding so early in 2nd half & we didn't. Just want to understand why we cannot improve our defending of corners, these are good players why can they not get their heads around what they need to do to defend corners.
All in all really pleased though Ay last the players showed fight, desire & urgency as if the penny had just dropped as to what is required from them. Some really heroic defending, bodies on line stuff, great. probably won't be able to get to sleep very quickly bit of adrenalin still flowing
One last thing please no one tell me Yates isn't worth his place in the side he covered every inch of that pinch, threw himself in front of everything & everyone
