Hi All,
Listened to "The Man" last night but the reception on Express FM was very poor if I'm honest. It was a great performance by Mr Eisner from what I could hear....excellent character acting in the lead role of "Me, Myself and Disney".
The stand-out points for me though are how cheaply...
Hi All,
I've not posted since our Jimmy Dickinson Statue proposal failed to raise sufficient interest with the club and fans. And as I have been growing a small business for the past three years and lost touch going to Pompey matches, I've not had anything constructive to offer on Pompey Vital...
First images of Jimmy Dickinson's full-scale sporting statue bust uploaded for comment on Facebook. Please support Portsmouth artist Roger Holman with a "like" or comment. First comment by Pompey artist in residence Mark Kellet is extremely positive. V for Victory.
Artist Roger Holman confirms full-scale model will be ready for public exhibition / scrutiny first home games of the season. Hope to see you there guys? Spotlight on the artist will be posted on the Facebook site in due course. Real Pompey Boys never give up until they are beaten. PUP
Everything you need to know about the Jimmy Dickinson Statue is detailed on our Facebook pages. Don't forget to "like it" and add you name to this exciting endeavour. I am 99% certain we shall be exhibiting the full-scale model on the opening home game of the season. PUP
FYI Tim the club provides around 50 sports frames per annum for match day mascots and sponsors.
Latest update if of interest? I will be visiting the foundry on Wednesday to discuss getting the full scale model prepped for the start of the season. Lets hope is a more memorable one!! PUP
Thank you for raising this thread again Pompey Loyal and on the occasion of Jimmy's birthday it is a good time to reassure people that this statue will happen. It is a world class proposal which has required more time than just fundraising.
At this stage we have a local structural engineer...
Unless there is significant investment in the team Im afraid L2 says it all for the established names. Tim Sherwood would have been a good capture. At this stage I would sound out Teddy Sherringham.
The bookies love the mugs betting on the likes Harry Redknapp. I'd like to see someone further up the list if we can afford it? Bradford's manager would be a great longer term appointment.
Good win but as a local shopkeeper was sad to see the ugly side of the game return with huge numbers of meatwagons and mounted police in the neighbourhood.
I'm not going to argue the point for the sake of it but Holmes was MOM quite a few times. I do agree that DC was another case of shipping out the best players and the team suffering as a result. At least the Northampton defeat has brought us back down to earth again.....another season downstairs.
