    Well done Conor Masterson

According to Football Manager, who is normally well researched on these things, his contract runs out next season.

Mansfield fans not too impressed with Tom Nichols

I thought Nicholls looked our stand out signing last January and appeared to form a decent looking partnership with Hawkins. This season, they only started together once against Accrington Stanley and even then one of them got subbed early second half. I'd have preferred we have kept him in...

    Car insurance ng obviously

The problem is that the insurance company of the guilty party threatening to contest the claim in court that they are liable and since the legal fees will usually be several magnitudes more expensive than paying half the repair bill, it is cheaper to just agree 50-50 guilt. Obviously that payout...

    Car insurance ng obviously

You can get such insurance in the UK but because the insurance company don't know the the driving history of anyone who will actually drive it then the fee charged is too expensive for the average person to pay for. The sort of insurance you dream of is typically offered to and used by...

    Youth team shake up??

I think the important thing is if they are showing talent in relation to other players their age. A player's position when they are 7 is not necessary the one they will be playing in at 17 years old. So for example you could train someone to play at centreback but if he doesn't get a height...

    Player of the year do

Shows how things have changed that in prior years it was the fault of Scally providing crap misleading / insufficient information, but this year the fans feel the need to apologise for the same crap misleading / insufficient information. If multiple people drew the same conclusion from the...

    Connor Wickham

They are in 14th and haven't lost for 7-8 matches. Think they look good to avoid relegation even without Wickham, unless I'm missing something.

    Wet shave blades, n/g

I think I made my last blade last up to 6 months before the plastic broke and I couldn’t make it reattach to the handle. Key to make it last is to shave at the end of showering when the face is wet and softened by the hot shower and then put on a decent amount of shower gel. I also tend to shave...

    swindon game dilemma

Myself coming up the M3, I tend to refuel at the Costa at Clacket and then down the M26 / M20 and up Blue Bell Hill at junction 6. Can't recall a time I got delayed on that route beyond a stretch of 50mph average speed camera a year or so back upon joining the M20. Unofficially the M26 is an...

    What On Earth

As this is arguably true of all posts on this thread, I'm not sure why you specifically responded to my post. Sure, No one knows the context of what he said, when he said it and why he said it. Hence why I started with "My interpretation..."

    What On Earth

My interpretation is that he expects to get some racist abuse from the Gillingham supporters, but he will win those racist supporters with his performances on the pitch. I read the "I'm going to bring some racism" as him being the catalyst for others rather than the one creating it. Second...

    Troy Deeney

Correct against Cardiff around 2002 or 2003. He did it again a few years later when he was serving a touchline ban as the manager but named himself as a sub against Leeds. He had to sit in the stands until he wanted to come on. And he wasn't allowed to warm up on the side of the pitch so had to...

The Official Accrington Stanley Match Thread (Sponsored by the Milk Marketing Board "for all your "who are they?" needs)

Some quick mental maths is 2 goals in 643 minutes. On a side note of the 12 times he has got on the pitch under SC, he has only completed a full 90 minutes once, and has only started 5 of them. On average he seems to get about half an hour when coming on as sub which might be significant if you...

Thoughts on timing of any transfers

Maybe, but how often do players sign players outside the window? Rare and in the case of Nicholls, he wasn't playing for Crawley and he only signed a week or so prior to the window opening. Presumably allowing him to train with the club for an extra week was worth the cost of a week's wages.
