Rowley

I lost count of the number of times he mentioned the date of the FA Cup final and the fact that we had only won twice in London since and that Ben Watson was an ex-Charlton player who lived up the road and was probably at the game. He nearly wet himself when Callum came on because he was only a teen sensation at the FA Cup final that Ben Watson scored the winning goal from a corner taken by the current Manager
Sean Maloney and he is now a senior player who had 12 months out of the game before coming back to Wigan and will be looking for a contract extension as he is out of contract at the end of this season.

By the way we scored twice about five minutes ago. 2-1 to Latics which if we manage to hold on will be the third time we have won in London since......... and repeat.

The "won twice in London since.." was mentioned to me, before the game, a few minutes later, I remembered the 4-0 at Wimbledon, then a couple of years ago we beat them 2-0 at the New Plough Lane (or whatever it's called), so the fact is incorrect anyway.

Thought his comms was much better at Charlton personally, nowhere near as bad as previous, more about the game, hopefully he improves
I thought the same, but there is a long way to go.
It must be a hard job, but he keeps getting player names wrong. Unforgivable to name a player that has already been substituted and confuse player names, especially his regular mix up when identifying Godo or Adeeko.
Better to keep quiet.

Hopefully he packs it in.

Rowley wouldn't be so bad if he didn't repeat his titbits so frequently. He's probably got 'em written down in an aide memoire in front of him, but he'd be better if he crossed each one off when he's used it for the first time.

Gregor Rioch's input was excellent.

Not sure which I enjoyed more watching the game or listening to Gregors info and thoughts on the game.
He made it very interesting.
Rowley said to him at the end , "you'll also be able to spend some money in the summer"
A pause before a curt reply.

Yeah, I picked up on that too. I could picture Gregor shushing him ! :ROFLMAO:
