Match Thread: Lincoln City v Accrington Stanley

Commentator wrong about the sub keeper. Van Gaal brought on Tim Krul for penalties, he saved 2 and knocked Costa Rica out of the world cup

Feels like it hasn't worked quite a few times after that time it worked tbh, though in this case three of your other players missing doesn't help

Ok we lost on penalties, but we look a really really poor outfit. I appreciate my opinion may not be popular, but I just have grave concerns how this could end with such inexperience at the helm and a threadbare weak looking squad. I can’t see any improvements.

We were just not good enough to go through. Accrington, a team out of form presently, arrive at Sincil Bank and make us look pedestrian. A tough watch that game. The only brightness from it was the glimpses of quality from Danny Mandroiu.

There's not one of them i would want in the trenches next to me.

I know it's not 3 points lost but I'm beginning to get worried.

FT. Ignore the penalty shoot out, but the whole match we lacked quality, control and confidence. IMO only Sorensen, Hopper, Mandriou and Sanders came out of that with any credit. There was just no flow and understanding between the players. We are too negative. Plus, I hate Accrington - they just stifle the game and use the dark arts and we are just too naive to cope with it - happens every game against that sort of opposition. Really hope we can get a couple of decent players in during the window because our confidence looks to be draining away game by game.

Conditions played their part, but it was a very poor game. Both teams lacked quality.

Difficult to say either team deserved to progress, but I honestly think Accrington were just slightly better and much much better at penalties. I told my dad that I didn’t know we had 5 penalty takers, but it was worse than I thought!

Lincoln are very hard to watch at the moment. Minimal entertainment.

A couple of weeks ago I didn’t fear relegation, but we struggle so much against the poorer teams.

Colour me concerned.

I'm concerned, but fairly predictable and I guess we could have just won the game on pens and maybe even the performance feels a bit better then because we'd done enough.

Definitely hoping for some January additions though... once again it feels like we need one or two bits minimum get us over the line.

One game from Wembley and more money, not sure I'd agree at this point

shithouse wanders will kick us Plymouth would wear is out…. We have to play a league two winger in defence. If are squad was a carpet it would be so the threadbare we would be wearing out the underlay.
