I was speaking to one of his relatives last season. It sounded like a combination of problems, the manager had signed loads of players in the summer and was playing his permanent signings ahead of him. He did seem to think he was struggling with the physicality of it at first as well. Then he picked up an injury and never got back in.As far as I could tell the disaster was not giving him a proper go bar in the odd efl cup game. The manager rightly got the sack just before Barry was recalled. Why loan in a youngster if you've no intention of playing them.
Hopefully the form at Swindon is what we’ll see more of
