Youth - U23 - Loans Thread

Aaron Ramsey called up to the England U21 squad to join his brother.

Does that mean at England level they see him as a better option than Chuk?

Well Chuck is captain of the U-18's . No sure how old Aaron Ramsey is , maybe age has something to do with it.
 
England u21 game is on Sky tonight 7pm KO . Could get to see both the Ramsey 's in action 🤞. Good to see so many of our youngsters in the England youth set ups, proof that our academy planning is bearing fruit. Downside is apparently JPB had to be subbed on 12 minutes and has his foot in a boot...hopefully nothing serious

Yeah saw it reported that JPB had posted a picture of his right foot in a boot on his Instagram page then quickly deleted it..no doubt on instructions from the club now he’s in the senior squad. Ever get a feeling it’s going to be another one of those ‘injury hit’ seasons!?
 
Seems that Aaron is ahead of Chuk in the England set-up but behind him for Villa.

I watched Aaron a couple of times in AVTV last season and he was the best player in the u23 setup, along with Kesler.
Injury pushed him to the fringes of the youth cup and other players shone instead

es more of the usual " he'll be back for the (insert team bame) game,next game after that,out til October, not back til xmas" malarkey 😳😁
 
Well done to our young lads, now all we have to worry about is the inevitable interest from the Sky Six and the start of the tapping up process.

It's ok as long as they give us 100m for them so we are in a strong position with FFP apparently, that's what it's all about . Moneyball
 
These lads will do well up to the full England team but I suspect that Safegate (with his perceived anti Villa bias) will then quietly ignore them all until they get transfers to a London or Manchester club.
