If he's good then Gabby was Pele.

All I remember from Saturday was him having the best chance of the match and hitting it straight at the keeper.

Being strong is a step up from Wesley, but being strong isn't being good.
 
Louie Barry is impressing DS and with Keinan out for a while it is perhaps an opportunity for him to be on the bench soon.
The kid has said that he wants to be in the first time before the end of the season. @

We have some great names in the youth set up thats for sure.

Article praising up a young kid called Carney Chukwuemeka. Supposed to be a wonder kid playing in our U23s. Anyone got any eyes on information on him?

See that doesn't matter, we've had teams in u23 that have been very good because they are full of 22-year-olds who will never make it and the opposition is playing their best 18-year-olds who are youth level.

Now our better youngsters are being loaned to the lower leagues for competitive football and the 17 and 18-year-olds are playing u23 football, bound to get beaten quite often, it's not about winning it's a learning curve.

Our youth team has to be our under 23's and the 16 and 17-year-olds need to be our youth side which is u18's anyone around 21 or 22 that hasn't made at least the bench for the first team may as well forget it and move on

It's a production line of heartbreak for 90% of the kids as the realis they'll never play for a big club again
 
From what I've read , it seems to be policy to fill the U23s with 16 and 17 year olds. If the team is packed with 20 year olds, who should really be pushing for first team places, then it holds back the development of younger players. We seem to have an eye firmly on the future.

Aston Villa have handed professional contracts to seven talented youngsters.

The teenage prospects have all impressed for the Young Lions and have now penned pro deals at Villa Park.

Defenders Bradley Burton, 18, Kaine Kesler, 17, and Myles Sohna, 17, have all signed agreements.

They join midfielders Harrison Sohna, 17, and Charlie Farr, 18, and forwards Louie Barry, 17, and Tristan Goodridge, 17, in putting pen to paper.

I’m not sure what the statistical probability is but my guess would be one every five years going on to play regular first team football and based on our set up. That might be overly optimistic.

Think a fair few each year leave us to go and play first team football for other clubs. Just not for us.
