I am involved in a couple of sporting organizations at the board level. One of the tools we have found to be absolutely phenomenal to help our organizations and especially our coaches is an app called TeamSnap. This incredibly versatile app helps coaches manage everything from player availability to who is bringing the refreshments to payments for tournaments. It allow for the entire team to interact. One of the biggest uses by coaches is the ability to broadcast a text to players and parents with the push of one button.
Disclosure. I have absolutely no financial interest in this company or know anyone involved with it. It is just a terrific product.
The mobile app that all parents and players can down load to their phones so they have real time access to all team information updates and scheduling is free for them. It runs on apple android and Blackberry 10. Hope this is helpful. It really is a great tool.
