Given the subject of cats have just come up in the really interesting thread I thought a topic on pets would be an idea, so here's the idea. What's your and any reasons why or not if you dont like or don't have animals

LOL that's why I love cats Pride! They dont give a sh*t and can get away with it

We have a cat , who is most possibly the laziest creature ever .

If I had the room and time etc my pet of choice would be a pig.

I added rats because I know a guy who has one, or "Fancy rat" I think is the official term. They're actually quite cute to be honest like big mice or hamsters, a million miles away from their disgusting wild disease-ridden cousins.

But personally it's dogs for me. There's always been a dog in our family, since I was a baby. Hard to see them go but you always get a new one!

I love cats. Most of them are brilliant, funny, cut, friendly, clean and relaxing animals.

Dogs stink of shit and always want to sniff my balls. I hate dogs.

Rabbits are miserable *****. I hate rabbits.

Hamsters are cool, if you can find a nice sociable one. I've had mixed luck on hamsters. One was amazing! Used to wake up to see me off to work then go back to bed. Also used to fall asleep in my hand.

The other 3 have been unsociable twats.

But cats... 9 out of 10 cats are awesome FACT!

Yes I hate dogs for all the reasons Deano said , plus the fact when I was a little boy our next door neighbours had a big black dog that kept jumping over the hedge and pinning me in a corner.

Frightened me to death every time.

All I can see is that horrible wet slimy black nose.

:19:

You're a heartless man Deano. Each to their own I suppose, never liked cats myself, they're too sneaky, and I always feel they're plotting against me. Dogs are dumb, I need to feel superior.

Dogs are brilliant. Loyal, friendly cute. Give back so much more than they take. Cats? The opposite.

Cat diary:
Day 983 of My Captivity

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a “good little hunter” I am.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of “allergies.” I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously a moron. The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now…
