Yellow Cards 2020-21

Update after the AFCW game:

League One

The second cut-off point is the 37th league game of the season, currently scheduled to be the away game at Oxford on 27 March. Ten yellow cards on or before that game will result in an automatic two-match ban.

4: Eyoma, Johnson, Jones
3: Grant, Montsma
2: Bridcutt, Edun, McGrandles, Walsh
1: Hopper, Morton, Roughan, Scully
0: Anderson, Archibald, Bradley, Elbouzedi, Gotts, Howarth, Jackson, Melbourne, Ross, Soule

EFL Trophy

2 yellows received up to and including the quarter-finals results in a one-match ban. 4 yellows received up to and including the quarter-finals results in a two-match ban.

2: Edun (suspension served), McGrandles (suspended for the third round)
1: Archibald, Bridcutt, Grant, Hopper, Melbourne, Palmer

Explanatory notes: yellow cards are competition-specific. Red cards apply to all competitions except the EFL Trophy. Suspensions are carried over to the following season if applicable.

Although that table has us on less yellows than Scotimp does above.
I think the lack of crowds has probably reduced the number of cards overall, without crowds baying for blood

If McGrandles is still injured when the 3rd rnd of the EFL trophy is played does that still count as his suspension, or does he have to be (intended) in the squad? Almost worth including him as an unused sub just to serve his suspension.

It counts even if he’s injured. He can’t be put into the squad as he’s suspended.

Not done too bad on yellows this season have we? I suspect we'll be towards the top of the fair play table.

I'm absolutely amazed Brids has only received 4 yellows, he should've got all of those in the Posh game alone tbh :grinning:

He's a cunning customer though, obviously knows how to get on the right side of the Refs beforehand, which isn't a bad thing is it?
