Y.C.C.C. Summer cricket thread

Pretty even at the end of Day 2.
Yes, 2 late wkts skewed it as we were well on top. One, Tattersall's was never an edge, terrible decision.

Got the best of the weather and they all looked comfortable. Joe looked serene but got a strangle down the leg side just after tea. Ballance was excellent and they looked up against it most of the day.
Can't see much cricket being played today due to the weather. Currently raining and 4c but real feel is minus 3c according to Accuweather. Rain until 16.00

Just before lunch on the 2nd day- 1st day rained off- and Yorks have Glamorgan at 73-6 after putting them in.:p

Live on Sky too.

Glamorgan had Yorks at 111- 8 and now they are 229- 9 with Joe and Patto putting on over 118 for the 9th wicket as Joe goes on to a magnificent 99 in this low scoring match.

Played on going for his 100 . Well played Joe - a masterclass.

Not quite a masterclass if he didn't get his ton TT but yes he's a SUPERSTAR.UTB

You should have watched it Rod.

Came in at 6-2 and left at 229 -9. Second highest scorer was Patto with 47 and one of theirs got 32.The rest were totally undone on a difficult pitch. They got 149 so, at 111-8 we were well behind in the game.

Lead of 81 so get a few tonight and it's game on tomorrow

Foakes will keep wicket Rod and both of them toured all winter without getting a game so it's a bit of a reward for that and, of course, there will be a lot of rotation because there's so much international cricket for England to play this year. They're in because there's a lot of players currently unavailable- Archer & Stokes injured and Jonny, Buttlerfingers, Woakes, Curran and Ali all coming back from the IPL
Both decent county players looking at their averages but no better than plenty of others and neither are youngsters - 24 Bracey and 27 Robinson so solid county pro's but doubt they'll ever become household names.

I bet it's been just as hard a watch today hasn't it TT? UTB
Too true Rod.Not helped by Bumble the buffoon commentating. It's been the 'best ground he knows' about 20 times today

If only we'd bowled 1st:confused:.
At least they've stuck at it and kept the run rate in check
