Everyone has an off day and then bounces back.
In one sense. you're never in a false position as points are well and rightly earned, but in terms of quality, Wycombe clearly were when they were quite some points clear at the top. They were a well drilled side, probably an unknown quantity to a lot in the division and flying after a promotion. The team we saw at Priestfield earlier in the season looked a very average/poor side - at the time they were still fairly well drilled, but we beat them fairly easily when we were struggling and they were flying. Not surprised to see them struggle now. Imagine they'll end up mid table and be amongst the relegation battlers next season - not dissimilar to the season where we had a flying start a few years back under the late JED.
Only saving grace is that they’ve played Oxford, Peterboro, Ipswich, Portsmouth and Sunderland in that run. All top teams.
I defy ANY team to go unbeaten in a stretch like that
Any team that could manage that would surely have to be by far the greatest team the world has ever seen.
