After seeing it in person and watching the highlights, it looked to me like the wall was positioned centrally with Farman stood directly behind them in the middle of the goal meaning he was completely unsighted. All their player had to do was pick a side of the goal to aim for. Very strange one.

Poor placement by the keeper. He stood directly behind the wall unsighted himself. The wall should have been more to one side with the keeper protecting the other side.
