World Cup thread

On a sad note those fifa twats removed my flag after stewards advised us where to put it up.
We were at the bar taking in the atmosphere.
New one ordered.

Who the fuck allowed an Arab ref to oversee an Arab country game? Talk about bent! Gave them free-kicks all over the park but ignored NZ legitimate causes.

How many camels have they promised him? 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Funny old performance lady night. Thought their goalie was in a for the match if his life.
Got to bring Stones back in surely.
Maguire has the positional nous, there were times last night when Spence was having to move in to the middle to cover the x2 CHs but was pointing to his man out right.

Unlucky Aussies. That changing of the keeper for pens annoyed me, he didn't get near one either.
Unluckier were Cape Verde.
To come from.behimd twice v the diving argies only to lose to a deflected og in the second half of extra time was a sickener.
Fantadtic display of sheer guts, determination and fitness👌

On the England front after all the whoo haa during the night the match tomorrow remains a 0100 kick off.

I'm generally enjoying the World Cup but....

Getting very tired of the on-field theatrics. I know it's part and parcel of the international game but it sometimes makes the game impossible to watch. All countries are guilty of it (even England, particularly Kane!) but some are worse than others. The continual rolling over clutching their face, their head, their shins etc is pathetic; especially when you see the slow-mo and they've not even been touched. Face and hands is particularly effective in fooling the referee as he feels he needs to stop the game. Refs should be allowed to watch the slow-mo before making the decision and then give the faker a yellow card. It is getting ridiculous.

(You don't see this in rugby league)

Mbappe guilty of it last night.
Magic Weekend for the Superleague continues today woth Wiggun v Saints as tbe main event.
Being done at Evertons' new ground this year, should see excellent crowds today.
