In all honesty, I reckon it was the right decision. Very calculated. He has a need to use his hands and arms to gain height during the jump but not as he's landing, and his arms look like the wings of an insect as he's landing, he could've quite easily kept them in the space used to elevate him, but they quickly move downwards.

As for ruining the final, get a grip, even if it's the wrong decision, which it wasn't, it was 4-2. The human error (ref's decision to award a free kick for the blatant dive) was a much bigger factor.
