Woman rushes kid to hospital - to get dog Sh** off her shoe!

Incredible bit of reporting from a Daily Mail report today, (I can't believe these STUPID PEOPLE - apart from the time wasting of staff who should be dealing with real emergencies, it carries nasty germs into the hospital and shows just how much of a wimp this woman is if she can't clean a kids shoes that has dog Sh** on it. One comment said that she should be beaten around the head with the offending shoe).

The report:

"A woman who took her daughter to A&E because her daughter got dog mess on her shoe has been branded as 'irresponsible'.

As Whittington Hospital, North London, struggles to cope with more admissions since the launch of the 111 non-emergency helpline, the unnamed mother was criticised for wasting doctors' time.

Councillor Martin Klute, chairman of the hospital's local scrutiny committee, said casualty staff should be able to spend their time treating people with real health issues.

He said: ‘The thing with these kind of cases is the time-wasting it causes.

‘I’m lost to explain why someone should behave as stupidly as that. That sort of behaviour is irresponsible and is causing a rise in numbers.

He added that hospitals have been struggling to deal with the fallout after 111 was introduced.

Whittington Hospital is missing national targets for dealing with patients amid an 11.5% hike in visits.

The hospital met national targets of dealing with 95% of patients within four hours last year.

But since the new phone line started last month the hospital has seen an increase of 50 admissions per day, up from 250 in 2012.

Cllr Klute, chair of Islington Council’s health scrutiny committee, said: ‘The people who are answering calls on the helpline are not medical professionals, they are administrators.

‘And so you get people turning up to A&E for things they shouldn’t.

‘It’s incredibly risky.’

In April, the hospital was seeing 92.85% of people within four hours.

Figures for the end of May show the hospital was in the bottom five of NHS trusts across London for the target, 19th out of 22.

A Whittington Hospital spokesman said six extra staff have now been drafted in to A&E.

He said: ‘We will always assess and treat people who come to our emergency department."

If people waste hospital time in ways like this, they should get (minimum) a heavy charge for the time wasting, and a ban from A&E or be struck off the NHS and made to go private from there on.

Why should the NHS HAVE to take people like this. There should be a clause that allows the NHS to dump people like this from their books.

They should be properly assessed... and then fined for wasting emergency services time.

Supposedly, her religion (which believes that dogs are unclean) stopped her from cleaning the shoe(s), so she believed that it was therefore an 'emergency'..

Incredibly for the Daily mail and the councillor involved, they thought it too sensitive to mention what religon she followed or that she virtually incapable of speaking any English..

..and yes, before you ask, this story has gone through NHS Hospital dusts faster than a chinese whisper...which is how I came to hear it the first time some weeks ago..

Nonsense, these people were born in this world and therefore know the reality of living here. Even Jewish people with their strict kosher laws etc have a way to deal with such 'emergencies'. I think the term is GET REAL. Jesus got his 'hands dirty' in a way that makes the mind boggle. If He can do it, so can we.

The whole problem with belief systems (especially if that's all you've been taught) is that it is literally back or white, the room for common sense or dealing with 'grey' area's is minimal ..

still not sure why a hospital is where you'd go?

throw the shoe away or something if your religion is that strict

That's right 'FOF', a Fire station would be more proper, they could hose the shoe down but to waste emergency services with something ANY human being should be able to deal with, is pitiful. People need to grow up. I don't like clearing up Dog-Sh** myself but I do it for the sake of my family and others, it's almost made me sick sometimes but grown-ups HAVE to do those things sometimes. Just get on with it.
