Wish City Had Bought Paul Pogba (NOT!)

Rumours and speculation circulating around Manchester during the summer transfer window suggested Manchester City and Pep Guardiola were interested in prising Paul Pogba away from Juventus.

In the end we all know what happened. Pogba became the world’s most expensive player, EVER. And City were spared the blushes of having to fork out £89 million.

Pogba playing with Silva Fern and Gud instead of the dross at the rags would be a different matter altogether.

Pogba would have been a good signing for us. His issue is he is surrounded by donkeys and a manager reluctant to drop Rug Head, who has been poor for three seasons now.

In the past he was spoken of as the only possible replacement for Mr Kipling, but times have changed. Would he be as up for the pressing game that PG has instilled as more lightweight players seem more adept at it. Still very early days but good to see the meltdown that appears to be happening at the Swamp with repeated calls for Rooney to be dropped and question marks over Mourinho being fit for purpose as well as Pogba going missing in games...

On the subject of too good to drop Rugney, could he be in trouble for this, or are managers fair game?
