Good Morning Swans fans and a Happy New Year!

It’s Thursday 01 January 2026 and the winter transfer window is now officially open for the PL and the EFL.

It will be open for a month before closing at 19:00 on Monday, 02 February, overrunning because January 31 falls on a weekend.
 
I would love Rak-Sakyi, type of winger we are lacking. Coventry being involved means our chances are remote though.

I wonder if we will sign one or two players despite the owners preparing us for a quieter window.

Could definitely use some of the Liverpool links we now have to get some quality young loans in.
 
We would be mad to let Vipotnik go at this time. We will need back up for him as well with Idah out injured for the rest of the season and Wales not considered ready.
 
Would be impressed if we could get Rak-Sakyi, there’ll be a lot of competition. Would give us what we’ve lacked out wide this season.

I’d be happy with just that but a RB would also improve us massively and allow Galbraith to move inside.

I hope not, nothing against the player but it screams the Bolasie type of signing that I thought we weren’t making anymore. I’d rather bring a young player in for cover than a veteran Ex Prem player.

Agreed. Or use the promising youngster we already have instead of ignoring him (unless he's going on loan).

Yeah, maybe Parker isn’t ready but surely it’s better to give our young players a chance. I don’t think it would make sense to sign someone who is 36 and hasn’t played a lot of football recently for a high intensity pressing style.
