How are points awarded, as a matter of interest?

Only Vital Towers knows the answer to your question Rising. My understanding is that you get one point for a poll vote (forum for front page) and then here comes the tricky part.

In essence the more you write in a forum post or front page article comment the more points are awarded. And so, depending on the length of the post will depend on points awarded. I believe its between one and five.
