A football fan thought he had won more than £1,500 on last weekend’s FA Cup semi-final but was amazed to discover the firm has refused to pay out.
Birmingham City fan Darren Tyler, 45, staked £80 on Aston Villa beating Liverpool and both teams to score after noticing rather generous odds of 18/1 in a William Hill shop.
But despite Tim Sherwood’s team winning 2-1, Tyler was told the odds should have been 8/1 and therefore part of the bet was void.
Their mistake, they should pay out.
