Will Hess become manager of Sunderland AFC?

Vital Champions League
Ellis Short has agreed to sell the club to an international consortium headed by Eastleigh FC owner, Donald Stewart. Stewart bought Eastleigh six years ago; back then Eastleigh had 32 season ticket holders and attendances averaged a couple of hundred. The club now boasts more than 1,500 season ticket holders with attendances topping 2,000. Since Stewart acquired Eastleigh, he has run the club on a debt-free basis; now there's a thing.

Coleman has been released from his contract; so, perhaps there's a chance that Hess could step up to the plate.

...Or perhaps Mad Dog?

He had an Eastleigh connection, albeit for 14 games only.

Sunderland need a short (not Ellis) sharp shock and Allen always seems to succeed in that respect although only in the short term.;)

Odds must be short on the Black Cats tempting Paul Cook away from Wigan. He`s an ideal candidate and would handle the pressure well.

I think you've missed the point

Paul Cook, Hess or the sale of Sunderland?

Clearly he is referring to your suggestion that Hessenthaler would be a serious candidate for Sunderland manager. When Sunderland look for a big name manager, they won't on the basis of the number of letters in their last name.

Jan Vennegor of Hesselink or Forbes Phillipson-Masters. Now there's a couple of big name managers.
