Will a wage cap lower ticket prices?

Reading this here https://www.onlinemortgageadvisor.co.uk/content/footy100/ and it has blown my mind just how much players get paid.

Surely if there was a legalised wage cap this would cause the club to have more spare cash to maybe lower ticket prices? Prices at forest aren't too outrageous but my mrs's lad supports Arsenal and if we wanted to go for a day out down to the emirates we'd be looking at a few hundred for all of including travelling and food!

Some older figures, but most premier clubs could let fans in for free and it would make little difference. Other than a few big clubs, most clubs get less than 10% of their income from the gate. The irony is though that as non-tv income is lower outside the PL , clubs in the lower leagues can't afford to do this.
