Their long running takeover saga has taken another turn with the collapse of the deal with the Spanish. The latter apparently reduced their offer (which was tenuous anyway) by 50% over the weekend. The administrators rejected it because it would have resulted in a 15 point deduction. They will now talk to potential other buyers

Having a sugar daddy like Jack Walker or Dave Whelan has great benefits but unless sustainable foundations are put down it has little long term benefits. From what he has said, SS seems to understand this.
